Vaksberg Salon was opened in 1950 under the name Penny’s. It was the first beauty school in Los Angeles. Recently acquired by Ms. Vaksberg, the salon has been updated with unique, handpicked furniture pieces functioning as workstations. In keeping with the old Hollywood charm, Ms. Vaksberg has kept the original seated hairdryers and welcomes both the young and hip and a decades-long clientele. Her full service shop offers colors and cuts, spa treatments, top of the line product and local artists’ accessories.
